Skypeople is the leading independent provider of cabin crew training. The 'Attestation of Initial Cabin Crew Training' is a safety training course and is recognised and approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, as well as EASA and the airlines themselves. All cabin crew working on UK and European registered aircraft must possess this qualification.

The course includes all the generic safety modules that are traditionally provided by the airlines own attestation, to the same professional standards as the airlines, but now available to buy on an independent basis, and currently transportable to all European airlines (including those in the UK). It is valid for five years. On joining an airline, the holder of an attestation must then complete training to cover any airline specific procedures and also conversion to the specifics of their allocated aircraft type(s).

Applying to an airline already in possession of an attestation, as well as saving the airline money, demonstrates the motivation and initiative of the applicant.  It demonstrates the ability to pass UK CAA/EASA regulated tests and gives much more confidence to the airline that the applicant will successfully complete the airlines own induction and training procedures. In short it makes the applicant much more employable than they would have been without it, and much better placed than non-qualified applicants.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Attestation different to other courses?

It is is the professional qualification held by current operating crew.

What are the entry requirements?

You must be at least 17 to attend the course but cannot take all your exams and receive your attestation until after your 18th birthday. You should be able to swim unaided and speak English.

Would it help my chances of employment?

Absolutely. It can if the airline chooses, replace up to half of the safety training which they must give you, and can save them a lot of money. It shows your ability to pass EASA authorised tests and demonstrates your motivation, making you a much safer bet as an employee compared with other applicants.  This is a real opportunity to invest in your own future.
Does it then enable me to fly as cabin crew?

No, not quite. It teaches you the generic subjects, and can replace much of what the airline would be required to train you.  The airline  must also train you in any non-generic items, i.e. items relating their own specific procedures, and the aircraft/s you will be working on.

Are all the airlines recruiting people with Attestation?

All airlines will recognise it.  Some airlines have structured their training programs to slot you in later in the program taking account of the fact that you already have the initial training.  However, some airlines have programmes which are not currently modularised enough to allow this, and so might ask you to do the whole programme.  In this case your own attestation still serves to demonstrate your quality as a candidate and takes much of the stress out of the airlines programme.

Can I fail the course?
Yes, the course is heavily regulated and all modules must be passed. However, a certain amount of re-sit is permissible and (unlike some airlines) we won't fail people the first time they fail a module. We are here to support and coach you through. As well as being highly experienced cabin crew trainers and training managers, some of our staff are also qualified teachers. We are here to help you.

What does the Attestation course cost?

The six day course costs €895. This includes all practical training, classroom training, and for successful candidates the 'attestation' certificate as well.
